“A Special Win For The Fans And Team” — Tambe Reflects On Ahmed Musa’s Late Strike Which Earn Kano Pillars Precious Three Points

Ahmed Musa and Charles Tambe played instrumental roles in helping Kano Pillars come from behind to beat Plateau United in an intense NPFL matchday 10 encounter.

Kano Pillars started slowly and leaned heavily on Tambe’s shot-stopping abilities to stay in the game.

The Cameroonian goalkeeper, who made five crucial saves, demonstrated why he’s fast becoming a trusted figure between the posts for the Sai Masu Gida in what was his third consecutive start.

Despite the defensive efforts, Plateau United took the lead early in the second half, piling pressure on the Pillars to respond.

But Kano Pillars showed resilience, equalizing in the 78th minute with a brilliantly executed free-kick by veteran Rabiu Ali.

Ahmed Musa capped off the comeback, scoring in the 92nd minute to secure all three points. The goal marked Musa’s third of the season, a testament to his growing impact at the club.

“It’s about being ready for every moment. My job is to keep us in the game, and I’m glad I could do that today.”

“It was a tough match, but we never gave up. To score in extra time, for the fans and the team, is always special. Kudos to Musa and everyone. We really deserve it” Tambe said.
