Afolayan Scores 2nd League Goal In St Pauli’s Win At Hoffenheim
Oladapo Afolayan was on target for St. Pauli in their 2-0 win away to Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
Afolayan now has two goals in nine league appearances for the newly promoted club.
The 27-year-old scored in the 20th minute to put St. Pauli 1-0 ahead and was replaced with 10 minutes left to play.
Super Eagles defender Kevin Akpoguma was not in action for Hoffenheim as he benched for the game.
The win lifted St. Pauli up to 15th position on eight points after nine rounds of games played in the German topflight.
For Akpoguma and his Hoffenheim teammates, they are also on eight points and occupy 16th spot on the log.
Afolayan played a key role as St. Pauli won promotion to the Bundesliga last season, scoring nine goals, provided three assists in 31 games in the Bundesliga 2.
