Baroni Calls Out Dele-Bashiru Following Lazio’s Defeat Udinese

Lazio head Coach Marco Baroni expressed his dissatisfaction with the side’s 2-1 loss to Udinese, specifically calling for improvement from several players, including Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.

Despite having a man advantage in the second half, Lazio struggled to break down Udinese’s defense.

Baroni criticized his midfielders for not creating enough opportunities and for lacking ruthlessness in attack.

Dele-Bashiru, who joined the club this summer, started the match and played for 60 minutes, but had a quiet performance before being substituted.

“We focused on spreading the ball wide today, but we need to deliver better crosses. Boulaye Dia is more effective at moving between the lines.

“Dele-Bashiru needs to improve, and the team is fully aware of that,” Baroni stated.

“We have to move the ball quicker to become less predictable.

“There were three or four occasions where we could have switched play to the opposite flank but didn’t.” He concluded.

Since his transfer to Lazio, the Midfielder has now played in two league matches but has yet to make a goal contribution.
