Benghazi Mission: Super Eagles’ Stars Look Sharp Heading Off to Libya

Nigeria’s 23-man squad are off to Libya for the second leg Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
On Sunday, the Super Eagles contingent departed Akwa Ibom where both teams had clashed in the first leg, two days prior.

Per Aisha Akanni (Brila), all 23 invited players are available for the mission to Benghazi.
Nigeria go into the return leg of the tie with a good momentum following a 1-0 victory courtesy of Fisayo Dele-Bashiru’s 86th minute goal.
Libya were on the back-foot for majority of the game, but Nasser Al-Hadiri will be hoping for a change in his team’s fortunes as another defeat ends their bid to reach the AFCON 2025.
On the other hand, Nigeria will solidify their place on top of Group D if the team secures all three points.
Tuesday’s game will hold at the Martyrs of February Stadium, and be officiated by Cape Verdean Referee, Lenine Rocha.
Kick-off for the game is 9pm.
