Charity Reuben Writes History in Egypt

Nigeria forward, Charity Reuben writes her name in the history books in the Egyptian Women’s Premier League, following her performances across three games.

Charity Reuben scored the winning goal in Al Ahly’s 1-0 victory over Modern on Thursday, netting just 36 seconds into the match.

The goal was the fastest in the league, adding to her growing list of accomplishments.

Reuben had already made history earlier in the season by scoring twice in Al Ahly’s debut match, helping her team to a Derby win over Zamalek.

With three league goals in as many matches, the former Bayelsa Queens and BIIK Kazygurt star has quickly established herself as a key player for the Egyptian giants.

Al Ahly are currently joint top of the league standings with nine points, alongside NBE and FC Masar.

The team is currently contending for the league title and a spot in the CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers for the UNAF (North Africa) region.
