Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze came off the bench as AC Milan cruised to a 3-0 victory over Empoli on Saturday night.
Chukwueze, who has now been left out of the starting lineup for two consecutive games, replaced Yunus Musah in the 75th minute as Milan wrapped up a comfortable win.
Alvaro Morata opened the scoring in the 19th minute, capitalizing on a loose ball in the box to fire a rebound into the bottom left corner.
Milan doubled their lead just before halftime through Tijjani Reijnders, who unleashed a precise low drive from the edge of the box following another rebound.
In the second half, Reijnders completed his brace with a composed finish, controlling a pinpoint pass on the edge of the area before drilling the ball into the bottom corner, sealing the victory for the Rossoneri.
The win lifts AC Milan to seventh place in the Serie A standings.
Chukwueze, 25, has had a quiet season so far, registering just one goal and one assist in 16 appearances across all competitions under manager Paulo Fonseca.
Milan fans will be hoping the Nigerian international can rediscover his form and play a more prominent role in the coming weeks.
