Enzo Fernández and Longtime Partner Valentina Cervantes Announce Separation

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández and his long-term wife Valentina Cervantes are allegedly splitting up as the Argentine footballer navigates personal upheavals.

Fernández has struggled to maintain his on-field performance, and the reasons for this may now be evident.

According to the Daily Mail, Valentina announced their split in an emotional social media message, admitting the challenges of the transition.

The couple, who have two children, is committed to a peaceful divorce and to prioritizing their family’s needs.

Valentina posted on Instagram via ‘Goal‘, “Enzo and I have decided to take some distance from each other today. But we will always be family, and we will support each other in everything… Because there are two children involved who need a lot of love from us. I know the person Enzo is and what an excellent father he is, as well as the heart he has. And that is enough for me. Please don’t try to create conflicts where there are none.”

Adding to his off-the-field challenges, Fernández was recently handed a driving ban, which appears to be affecting his form.

Chelsea’s manager, Enzo Maresca, has shown limited confidence in the midfielder, benching him for Chelsea’s last two Premier League matches.

Eager to return to form, Fernández hopes to help Chelsea bounce back after their Carabao Cup loss to Newcastle on Wednesday.

Chelsea faces Manchester United on Sunday. They’ll need strong performances to contend with a reenergized Red Devils squad under interim coach Ruud van Nistelrooy.
