Erling Haaland Set to Become Premier League’s Highest-Paid Player with New Manchester City Contract

Manchester City star Erling Haaland is set to sign a new contract with the club that will make him the highest-paid player in the Premier League.

Haaland, 24, has been in incredible form since joining Manchester City in 2022. The Norwegian striker has scored 105 goals in just 114 matches, including 12 goals in 11 Premier League games this season.

Due to his exceptional performances, Haaland is now in talks to renew his contract, which was due to expire in 2027. His new deal will reportedly see him earn a weekly wage of £500,000, making him the top earner in the Premier League.

City officials recently met with Haaland’s family and agent, Rafaela Pimenta, to discuss the new contract, and the talks have been positive.

The new deal is expected to include a release clause, though the exact fee has not been disclosed.
