FG declares Monday as public holiday to mark Eid-ul-Mawlid
The Federal Government has declared Monday, September 16, as a public holiday to mark the Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration.
Eid-ul-Mawlid is the commemoration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.
The declaration was made by Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, interior minister, in a statement by Magdalene Ajani, permanent secretary of the Ministry of Interior, on Friday.
He congratulated Muslims for the occasion and asked them to use the occasion to pray for the peace of the nation.
