Georgina Rodriguez rates ‘iconic’ Cristiano Ronaldo outfit worn at Man United transfer and which fans love to mock in funny YouTube video
Cristiano Ronaldo could only sit and listen as Georgina Rodriguez rated and slated his questionable fashion choices through the years.
The Al Nassr star was joined by his partner on his recently launched YouTube channel where she was asked to give his clothes a rating out of 10, with the jumper worn as he signed for Manchester United in 2003 one of them.
The jumper has resurfaced a number of times online over the course of his career, mainly being used to mock the 39-year-old, who clearly showed he has no problem laughing at himself either.
Ronaldo held up the image with a smile, saying: “I don’t think I look that bad.”
Rodriguez responded: “Little things, it’s like I want to [laugh] and I can’t, but he made an effort with his watch.”
Ronaldo threw his head back in laughter at her hesitant analysis.
Rodriguez continued: “His shoes which I imagine would be the ones that were in fashion. Seven for the effort.”
Despite Ronaldo’s surprised reaction to her rating, Rodriguez does know what she is talking about when it comes to fashion.
She met Ronaldo whilst working in a Gucci store in Madrid and has built up her career from there.
Having worked as a model and an influencer, she has appeared in campaigns for Gucci, Prada and Chanel.
By then, Ronaldo was a global star and the face of Real Madrid, whom he left Man United for in 2009 in a world record £80m transfer.
But six years earlier, he was just an 18-year-old kid trying to make a name for himself when Man United shelled out £12.24m, leaving Sporting CP to become a key player for Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.
During this time he won the Ballon d’Or and helped United win three consecutive Premier League titles, while he won the FA Cup in his first season.
In 2009, Ronaldo made the move to Real Madrid, for a world record fee at the time of £80 million.
He also went on to sign and play for Juventus in 2018 and then back to Man United in 2021 but left in bitter circumstances.
