Gift Orban Powers Lyon to Comeback Win Over Strasbourg with Late Brace
Nigerian forward, Gift Orban came through for Olympique Lyon scoring twice to lead the team to a 4-3 victory over Strasbourg at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais on Friday.
Orban, who had struggled to find form at the start of the new season, was named on the bench for the match.
With Lyon trailing 3-1, he was brought on in the 59th minute, immediately making an impact.
The former Gent striker quickly repaid his manager’s faith, netting his first goal in the 63rd minute and securing his brace just nine minutes later.
Gift Orban turned the tide for Lyon with his goals, completing a stunning comeback for the home side.
Strasbourg’s third goal came from Emmanuel Emegha, who also put in a strong performance for his team.
