How Don Jazzy’s N100m gift to VDM sparked mixed reactions
During the week, controversial social media personality, Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, announced that he had started a non-governmental organisation, which aims to increase the standard of education for children in public schools.
Initially, VDM reported receiving donations totalling around N70m. But on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, he was in disbelief when he received a staggering donation of N100m. He even requested Zenith Bank to investigate the unexpected funds in his account with them, as he had not received a credit alert.
It was later revealed that popular producer and singer, Michael Ajereh, aka Don Jazzy, made the donation.
“Let it be known that on the 16th October 2024, this man named Michael Collins Ajereh, aka Don Jazzy, donated N100m to give public school kids advanced education with the aim to give them a good educational foundation,” VDM expressed gratitude towards Don Jazzy.
Expectedly, the situation sparked different reactions on social media.
Controversial cross dresser Okuneye Idris, popularly known as Bobrisky, criticised VDM for accepting funds from Don Jazzy, stating that VDM had previously condemned him for receiving money from the music mogul. She remarked, “There are some people you should not drag. Don’t drag your helper.”
Meanwhile, celebs flocked Don Jazzy’s Instagram page, clamouring for their own share of money.
