Jennifer Echegini Secures Perth Cup for PSG in Debut Match
Nigerian midfielder, Jennifer Echegini made her debut for her new club, Paris Saint-Germain Feminine.
She scored the solo goal in their 1-0 victory over Manchester City Women in the final of the Perth International Football Cup at HBF Park in Australia.
Echegini converted a late penalty in the 88th minute, securing the victory for the French giants.
The penalty was awarded after Manchester City defender Kerstin Casparij fouled PSG substitute Tara Elimbi Gilbert in the box.
PSG Femini will now prepare for their upcoming UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign.
Meanwhile, Manchester City returns to England to continue their preparations for the new Women’s Super League season, which kicks off with a clash against Arsenal on September 22.
EcheginI won the Best Young Player award in the Italian women’s league last season while at Juventus.
