Kevin de Bruyne remains unavailable until after international break – Confirms Pep Guardiola
Kevin de Bruyne remains sidelined ahead of Manchester City’s trip to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.
City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed that the Belgian midfielder, although involved in the club’s training, is yet to hit the level expected of him.
“Kevin de Bruyne can’t play yet. Hopefully, after the international break he can feel good.
“He feels better, can train, but the level we need for competition, when he kicks the ball he still has pain.”
De Bruyne has not played for City since being forced off at half-time in the Champions League draw against Inter Milan in mid-September.
The 33-year-old also missed four months of last season after hamstring surgery.
