Libya Airport Ordeal: Troost-Ekong Hails Super Eagles Teammates
William Troost-Ekong has praised his Super Eagles teammates following their difficult ordeal in Libya.
The Super Eagles were poorly treated on their arrival in Libya on Sunday.
The action of the hosts forced the players to pull out of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday four encounter.
The players and officials arrived the country from Libya on Monday evening.

Troost-Ekong took to the social media to eulogise his teammates for enduring the horrific ordeal in the North African country.
“Proud of this team, NAIJA SPIRIT can’t be broken.
Throw at us what you want, it’s in our blood to overcome. Ive seen a lot in my 10 years with this group, but nothing like this, an experience that has brought us even closer TOGETHER,” the wrote on X.
“My last words about this and I look forward to continue our journey to the AFCON 2025 next month in November on the right way.
“Our goal of doing the best for Nigerian football won’t ever change.”
