Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the English Premier League table to nine points following an electrifying 2-0 victory over defending champions Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday.

Mohamed Salah was once again the star of the match, providing an assist for Cody Gakpo in the 12th minute, before converting a spot kick into the bottom-right corner of the net in the 78th minute.

The defeat marks the fourth consecutive loss for Pep Guardiola’s side in the domestic campaign.
