Lukaku and Kvaratskhelia Score as Napoli Crush Cagliari 4-0

Napoli defeated Cagliari 4-0, thanks to a great relationship between Romelu Lukaku and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. It was their third consecutive victory.

The two stars scored while aiding one another.

Lukaku, making his first start for Antonio Conte’s side following a brilliant debut off the bench against Parma, worked effectively with Kvaratskhelia, who returned from an ankle injury to start.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo opened the score for Napoli, whose shot was deflected off Yerry Mina and past Cagliari goalkeeper Simone Scuffet.

The game was momentarily delayed after 25 minutes due to crowd disturbances between Napoli and Cagliari fans, but play resumed seven minutes later.

Napoli extended their lead in the second half when Lukaku set up Kvaratskhelia, who hammered his shot into the bottom corner.

Moments later, Scuffet’s error when playing out of the back allowed Kvaratskhelia to set up Lukaku for an easy finish from 12 yards.

Late in the game, Alessandro Buongiorno clinched the victory with a header from a David Neres corner, capping Napoli’s overwhelming performance.
