Pedro Neto’s 70th-minute goal was enough to cancel Gabriel Martinelli’s goal to earn Chelsea a 1-1 draw against Arsenal in Sunday’s Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.

Pedro Neto equalised just 10 minutes later with a fine strike from range, his first goal since signing for Chelsea from Wolves in the summer.
Arsenal almost won it with the last kick of the game as William Saliba played an inviting ball across the Chelsea box, but Leandro Trossard poked wide to leave Arsenal and Chelsea level on points in fourth and third place respectively, and nine points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool.
Chelsea end the day in the top three places of the Premier League table for the first time since the final day of the 2021-22 season, when they finished in third place behind Manchester City and Liverpool.
