Nathan Tella on Galatasaray’s Radar Amid Struggles at Leverkusen

Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray are reportedly interested in securing a loan deal for Bayer Leverkusen winger Nathan Tella.

According to reports from Turkey, Galatasaray are exploring the possibility of bringing the Nigerian international to Istanbul in January, as the player searches for more regular playing time.

Tella, 25, joined Bayer Leverkusen from Southampton last summer and enjoyed immediate success, winning the Bundesliga title in his debut season at the BayArena. However, his time in Germany has been marked by limited opportunities, with the winger mostly used as a substitute.

Last season, Tella made 24 league appearances for Leverkusen but struggled for minutes, starting only a handful of games.

This season, under manager Xabi Alonso, he has featured just eight times, prompting frustration over his lack of game time.

The former Burnley star’s reduced role has impacted his form and cost him a spot in Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad.

Eager to revive his career, Tella could welcome a move to Galatasaray, where he would have a better chance to showcase his talent and reestablish himself in the national team setup.
