“Nigeria Jollof Is Better” Flying Eagles Striker Kparobo Arierhi Says The Team Will Make Nigerians Proud As Nigeria Takes On Ghana In WAFU B U20 Final Today

All is set for the final showdown at the 2024 WAFU U20 championship in Lome Togo, today where eternal rivals Nigeria and Ghana will be playing in the grand final today and Kparobo Arierhi, the striker of the Flying Eagles says that the team is determined to win the Jollof Derby final and make Nigerians proud, Sports247 reports.

Both Nigeria and Ghana encounters these days is always stretch the football pitch as internet banters as taken the rivalry to another level, Kparobo Arierhi who scored the winning goal against Cote d’ivoire which keep the team in the competition says the boys are aware of the cruise and they won’t let Nigerians down in the final showdown today.

” Yeah, it’s derby match and they call it the Jollof Derby, Nigeria Jollof and the Ghana Jollof , we have to do everything to make sure that Ghana Jollof is not better than our own, it’s a cruise but we will do everything to win the trophy and make the country proud” Kparobo told Sports247 in Lome Togo.

The Beyond Limits FC goal machine says he has played in many competitions but playing for Nigeria at the WAFU U20 was a big deal for him.

” Playing in the WAFU B Competition was a big deal for me, I never expected that I will be selected and I was happy when I saw I would be playing at the WAFU B Championship”.

It was a case of slow start for Nigeria and Kparobo winner against Cote d’ivoire puts lots of smiles on the faces of Nigerians, the player reflected on the goal and the mood in camp after helping Nigeria to bounce back against Cote d’ivoire.

” Scoring the winning goal against Cote d’ivoire really made me happy, because I was able to take my team out of that tough situation, despite the pressure my teammates still were able to find me in the box and we are all very happy” .

” Losing the first day was a sad day for all of us, you know. We then resolved that we are representing our country and can’t afford to let our country down and we are able to do that.” Kparobo said.

The final is scheduled to take place in Lome Today and Nigeria have another to win the title again after winning the last edition two years ago.

Though both countries have secured their place in the U20 Africa of Cup of Nations but pride will be at stake and lots of bragging right too as it’s always a great time watching both countries play each other.
