Nigerian TikTok star Peller Allegedly on FBI Watchlist for Cybercrime
Nigerian TikTok star Peller garnered the FBI’s attention when it was revealed that he had previously been involved in Yahoo-Yahoo, often known as internet scamming.
Kemi Olunloyo, a controversial investigative journalist, revealed this in an audio post on her social media platforms. She stated that a source within the FBI alerted her of Peller’s suspected involvement in cybercrime.
According to Olunloyo, Peller previously admitted in a TikTok session to engagingin “yahoo-yahoo” (internet fraud) before gaining fame and transitioning to legitimate earnings as a content creator.
Olunloyo has advised the 19-year-old social media star to exercise caution regarding his future statements, warning that his past confessions could lead to serious legal consequences.
She compared his situation to that of Hushpuppi, the influencer currently serving a sentence in the U.S. for cybercrime-related offences.
“If you know Peller, pls tell him to SFTU. He is about to single-handedly ruin his own future,” Olunloyo cautioned, noting the increasing scrutiny on influencers suspected of online fraud.
