Northern elites are responsible for the way things are in Nigeria – Ali Baba

Popular Nigerian comedian Ali Baba has shone a light on the pressing issues that plague Nigeria, especially in the northern region.

In a heartfelt Instagram video, he brought attention to the sight of numerous out-of-school children begging on the streets, underscoring the immediate need for action.

Ali Baba revealed that he had engaged in discussions with other concerned citizens, including those from prestigious universities, to brainstorm solutions for Nigeria’s problems.

However, he noted that some individuals from the North were hesitant to address the issue of the high number of out-of-school children.

The comedian stressed the importance of providing proper education for children from birth to age 10, warning of the severe consequences of neglecting this crucial stage of development.

Ali Baba highlighted the alarming rate of out-of-school children in the northern regions as a cause for urgent attention.

He stressed that Nigeria’s elite must take responsibility for addressing these pressing issues, particularly in the North.

Ali Baba wrote:

“This woman from the North protested about the discussions. Vehemently. Then, at another time, time the matter on the front burner was grazing. Where my position was, the rearing and trading in livestock was a personal business.

“Then, a video surfaced, showing hundreds of children begging for food. Not in an IDP camp oooo. Inside Kano. As soon as we started discussing the issue, a certain Northern lady pounced on me as one who always has the negative narrative.

“I kuku left the group. Now, only the Northern people are complaining about what I complained about. But I don’t feel vindicated, I just realised that some of the Northern elites are responsible for the way things are. The way I see it, the number of kids as seen I the posted video is mind-boggling. And it’s not 10 years yet, like I warned. Dem go feel it!”.
