NPFL: Rangers, El-kanemi Warriors Clash In Season Opener
Holders Rangers will host El-kanemi Warriors in the opening fixture of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season on Saturday (today).
The encounter is slated for the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
The Flying Antelopes will be determined to start their title defence on a winning note.
Rangers have played two competitive games this season, recording a 2-1 aggregate win over US Zilimadjou of Comoros in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
Fidelis Ilechukwu’s struggled a bit against their lesser known opponent and will hope to put up a good show for their fans.
El-kanemi Warriors also failed to impress in their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round contest against Beninoise club Dadje FC.
The Maiduguri club lost the tie 3-1 on aggregate.
