Nigerian defender, Ola Aina has expressed his happiness at Nottingham Forest and indicated he is open to extending his stay at the club.
Aina, who joined Forest as a free agent two years ago, has been a standout performer this season.
With his contract set to expire in the summer, the club has reportedly shown interest in securing a new deal to keep the 27 year-old at the City Ground.
Speaking to BBC Radio, Aina shared his thoughts on his future.
“All I can say is I am really happy at Forest. It’s a fantastic club, I feel at home, and we’re just building,” Aina said.
“I’m building, the club’s building. Let’s just see what happens in the future.”
The Nigeria international played a pivotal role in Nottingham Forest’s shock 1-0 victory against Liverpool at Anfield last weekend.
His performance, which included keeping Liverpool’s Luis Díaz quiet, making five successful tackles, and completing 25 passes, was crucial in securing the win.
Ola has featured in four premier league games for Forest this season and Nigeria’s African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
