“One Goal Will Change Everything” – Nottingham Forest Boss Backs Awoniyi to Bounce Back

Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has expressed confidence in Taiwo Awoniyi’s ability to rediscover his best form despite the Nigerian striker’s struggles this season.
Awoniyi has endured a challenging campaign so far, failing to score in the Premier League and seeing his playing time significantly reduced.
The 26-year-old has started just two league games, losing his starting spot to Chris Wood, who has been in impressive form.
In a quote revealed by Nottingham Post, Santo emphasized that Awoniyi’s issues stem from fitness and confidence but assured fans the forward is close to turning things around.
“It’s his fitness, his confidence, and he is looking for his goal,” Santo said.
“Everything changes in the mindset of a striker when you score; suddenly, everything comes. We are waiting for this click. We trust him.”
The former Union Berlin star, who scored 6 goals and 3 assists last season, has yet to replicate that form in this campaign.
However, Santo believes that one goal could be the spark Awoniyi needs to get back on track and help the Tricky Trees climb the Premier League table.
With Santo’s backing and the promise of regular opportunities, Nottingham Forest fans will be hoping Awoniyi can deliver when it matters most.
