Osimhen Strikes Back-to-Back Braces, Dedicates Goals to Injured Icardi

Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen continued his stellar form, scoring a brace in Galatasaray’s 3-2 home victory over Samsunspor on Sunday.

This marks his second consecutive brace, following his double against Tottenham Hotspur in a 3-0 win last Thursday.

The Super Eagles striker wasted no time, opening the scoring for Galatasaray with a powerful header just three minutes into the match.

However, Samsunspor equalized five minutes after halftime, with Cameroonian midfielder Olivier Ntcham converting a penalty.

Undeterred, Osimhen struck again five minutes later, heading in another goal to restore Galatasaray’s lead.

Celebrating passionately, he ran to the corner flag and raised Mauro Icardi’s jersey, dedicating the goal to his injured teammate who’s sidelined for the season with an ACL injury.

Osimhen now boasts an impressive tally of eight goals and three assists in nine matches this season.

His dedication and form have been a major boost for Galatasaray, especially with Icardi out for the long term.

Substitute Michy Batshuayi added a third goal for Galatasaray in the 85th minute, while Youssef Bennasser pulled one back for the visitors during stoppage time, wrapping up the match at 3-2.

Osimhen, who has committed to staying at Galatasaray through the end of the season, is proving to be a crucial asset as the team pushes forward in Icardi’s absence.
