Ramsdale To Undergo Southampton Medical Thursday

Aaron Ramsdale will undergo medical on Thursday before sealing a move to newly promoted Premier League club Southampton.

This was revealed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his X handle on Wednesday night.

Ramsdale has continued to play second fiddle to Spanish Goalkeeper David Raya at Arsenal.

Since the arrival of Raya last season, Ramsdale has only featured in a handful of games for the Gunners.

Also, Arsenal have been linked with Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia, who is expected to come in as second choice to Raya.

Giving the latest on Ramsdale’s transfer to Southampton, Romano said Arsenal will receive £18m initial fee plus £1m if the Saints stay in Premier League.

“There are also £6m more in add-ons linked to player performances.

“Ramsdale will travel for medical on Thursday.”
