Simon Ekpa arrested in Finland over terrorism charges

Simon Ekpa, a Finnish-Nigerian separatist firebrand, has been apprehended in Finland for purportedly engaging in activities tied to terrorism.

As reported by BBC Pidgin, the self-styled Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government In-Exile found himself behind bars after the Päijät-Häme District Court took him into custody, suspecting him of inciting the public to commit crimes with a terrorist agenda.

Furthermore, The Sun revealed that the Central Criminal Police in Finland acknowledged the arrest through a statement on their website Thursday, indicating that four other individuals were detained on suspicions of committing terrorist offenses.

The law enforcement officials disclosed that the primary suspect was taken into custody “on suspicion of inciting the public to commit a crime with terrorist intent,” while four others faced arrest “for financing a terrorist crime.”

“Claims will be deliberated in the Päijät-Häme district court today, November 21,” the statement elaborated.

There have been urgent calls for the apprehension of Simon Ekpa due to his alleged role in the Sit-At-Home protests that have significantly hampered economic ventures in the Southeast.
