Torino to beat Venezia – 11/10
Torino have had an impressive start to the new season and they should be able to get the better of newly-promoted Venezia here.
The visitors drew 2-2 away to Milan in the San Siro before getting the better of Atalanta 2-1 in their second game and, if they can replicate those performances, they should have far too much for their hosts.
Torino’s new forward line of Duvan Zapata and Che Adams looks like a powerful and pacy pairing and it is no surprise to see that the former has already netted twice in all competitions this term.
That duo should be able to cause plenty of issues for a Venezia side who have lost two of their three outings in all competitions.
The Lagunari were beaten 3-1 by Brescia in the cup before falling to the same scoreline in their first league game of the campaign against Lazio.
They put in an improved showing to hold Fiorentina to a goalless draw last time out but they may struggle to contain this Torino side and Paolo Vanoli’s visitors are fancied to win this one.
Special of the day
Inter Milan to win and both teams to score – 85/40
Both teams have scored in four of the last six Serie A meetings between Atalanta and Inter and the same looks likely when they do battle in this clash.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side opened with a 4-0 win over Lecce before losing 2-1 to Torino last time out and could be vulnerable against the division’s defending champions.
Inter lost just two games last season and put their 2-2 away draw with Genoa on the opening weekend behind them with a 2-0 victory over Lecce last time out.
Atalanta are an exciting team to watch, but they may leave themselves open at the back, something that the hosts can take advantage of.
Long shot of the day
Strasbourg to beat Lyon – 7/2
Lyon made a nightmare start to last season, winning just one of their first 14 games, and they have started slowly again this time around.
OL have put almost all of their squad on the transfer list due to their poor finances and that negativity surely cannot help but spread to their performances.
The home side have lost their opening two games of the campaign without scoring and could fall to another defeat against a Strasbourg team who beat Rennes 3-1 in their last game.
